Dear Sir,
While searching for information on CS, I came to your site. It seems to me that TS is very similar to CS. I'm looking for a platform to build an ASP.NET application. The application is to build a community sharing one's stock portfolio. For example, I create my stock portfolio and open it to the comunity (can close at will). People in the community can leave comments. I assume this can be done under "Blogs" with further coding. Meanwhile, the portfolio real-time updates performances according to my stock-value database. Analysis statistics of my current portfolio and stock candidates can be manipulated at my will (This might be another module I need to develop). Others can use the Analysis tools to see my past portfolio performance.
Does TS has the capability to develop applications based on the current functions? I am not quite sure how I can use TS's components in VS2005. Shall I install something that's similar to ComponentOne or ComponentArt? Or, TS just provides itself as a software for users, not for developers to build further functions upon?
Pardon me if I didn't express enough as I should. The idea in mind is to find something that already has basic functions such as member management, site management, forum ... etc., so I can focus on the core functions that I want to build. Would TS be an appropriate choice?
I appreciate your time and feedback.
