How to install CMS by a person having no knowledge of software of any kind?

Hi, Nyhtal I have purchased a domain and hosting service. Now I am waiting for the service provider to provide me the FTP username & password. I have downloaded your software on my system. As you have given the instructions on your website that 1. Place the Tandem Server files that you can download from our Download page on your domain. 2. Type your domain, followed by /install (i.e. www.mysite.com/install) in your internet explorer address bar to install. I will be follow the above instructions, but last time for my website www.masteriso.in in which your CMS is installed by my friend Manoj their were problems of read/write permissions and then you only had to manually install it.The purpose of telling you all this is that you have all knowledge on this softwares and I don’t (in fact I don’t know anything of softwares). What difficulties will I have be facing when I will be installing the CMS?

    Regards,

     Mangalam.

There are basically 2 things you need to worry about when installing Tandem Server. 1) Your website must be using ASP.NET 2.0 or later and 2) Your IIS website user account must have read/write permission to all files and folders in your webroot. The install process has been enhanced a bit to tell you if you have the proper configurations before it will try and install. If after installing Tandem Server you get a warning about read/write permissions or an unsupported ASP.NET version you will need to contact your hosting company to have your website updated.
