When I installed the CMS, I wasn't thinking straight and named the install folder "tandemserver" which, because my Godaddy host will not let anything be installed to the root directory, has to have a redirect and the path that comes up is btabdevelopment.com/tandemserver. I would like to shorten that to just ts but I don't really think that might be possible at this point (correct me if I'm wrong).
What would be cool is a tool under the management console which would let you modify the path so that all would cascade update (if that doesn't already exist and I've just missed it).

sorry, that's not possible for the installer to change its application path.
however, you can install Tandem Server in the root of your website by just blanking out the application path when godaddy prompts you for one when you install.
i'm not sure if they let you rename an application you have already installed but you can always install a 2nd version of tandem server in a /ts folder and delete your old /tandemserver application. if you have already created pages or uploaded files under your /tandemserver application then you will want to copy your /tandemserver/files folder to your new location so you don't lose any changes you've made.

I may give that a go here in a bit. Doesn't sound too stressful. If I copy the tandemserver/files folder over to the new installation, is that all that is neccessary for my current pages (and there are quite a few now) to be working under the new file structure? If so, I'm even more impressed with the writing of this.

yes, everything updated/customized using the Tandem Server publishing tool is stored under the /files folder so you always only have to backup/move this folder.
